Wellness Matters

Ministry Purpose

The purpose of the Wellness Matters Ministry is to promote spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental health and wellness within the SEUCC congregation and community. Recognizing that our life and health are gifts from God, this ministry will provide information and experiences that will help persons be good stewards of their bodies, minds, emotions and spirits.  It will encourage persons to make vows to ‘offer their bodies as a living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God.’ (Romans 12:1)

Foundational Scriptures

I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done.  Psalm 118:17

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.  Romans 12:1

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.  1 Corinthians 6:19-20
