Blended Worship Experience: Sundays through February 24 - Just 1 Sunday left (Feb. 24) for our 11 a.m. Blended Worship Experiences. Our Vine Worship Experience (9:55 a.m.) and Well Worship Experience (12 noon) will resume on March 3.
The BIN: Thursday, March 7 & Saturday, March 9 - 10 a.m. - We need volunteers to help unload the food truck for the BIN Ministry on Thursday, March 7between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Should you be available, please sign up at the Information Center. Ash Wednesday Worship Experience - Wednesday, March 6 - 7 p.m. - Please plan to join us at 7 p.m. in the SEUCC Sanctuary for a worship experience, as we begin the season of Lent. Black History Musical: Friday, February 22 at 7 p.m. - Sanctuary Seating Is Sold Out -Volunteers Still Needed. Today is the last day to purchase tickets. Seating is available in the Chapel only, where the concert will be viewed via flat screen TV. Volunteers are still needed. You may still sign up at the Information Center to volunteer for the musical. We specifically need volunteers to serve as Parking Lot Attendants, Runners, Escorts and Clean-up Crew. It’s Mardi Gras Time - Fat Tuesday On A Fab Friday Potluck: Friday, March 1 at 6:30 p.m. - Family Life Center - If you haven’t already done so, we invite you to sign up to bring your favorite dish/es for our annual potluck. This year’s theme is Mardi Gras and we’re not pulling any stops. We will have live entertainment, a second line, traditional beads and more. Did you know purple beads represent royalty, gold beads represent power and green beads represent faith? You’ll learn other fun facts about Mardi Gras. Wellness Matters Ministry: Afternoon of Dance With Alvin Ailey - April 28 - Join us for a church outing to Playhouse Square for a performance by The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater on Sunday, April 28 at 3 p.m. We have secured special group rates at $43.50 and $32.50. We can only accept cash or check. Registration for this event will take place at the Information Center ONLY on February 17 and February 24. All registrations MUST be in by February 24, no exceptions. Please note, you will need to provide your own transportation or arrange your own car pool. Designate Your 175th Anniversary Giving Sacrificial Offering - All SEUCC adult members are being asked to give $175 above one's regular tithe/offering and children/youth, $17.50 in thanksgiving for our congregation's 175th anniversary. Contributions are to be received by Easter Sunday, April 21. Please make sure to clearly identify on your envelope or other methods of giving the gifts which are meant to be for the 175th Anniversary giving. We want to make sure we keep these gifts separate from your regular giving. If you are giving by Text to Tithe, type 175th after the dollar amount. Faith in Cleveland: Next Sunday, February 24 - 11 a.m. - As you know, we believe the gospel can be shared through the telling of personal stories. Our Faith in Cleveland series features notable figures throughout the Greater Cleveland who are rooted in their faith, while striving to serve others in a way that makes meaningful impact. Join us on Sunday February 24 at 11 a.m., as we welcome Congresswoman Marcia Fudge as our guest for the next Faith in Cleveland installment.
Requesting Giving Statements: Deadline Monday, February 28 - This year, Giving Statements for tax documents will be distributed only upon request for various reasons. If you would like a copy of your statement, please complete the online form by going to this URL (bit.ly/2DG1XxA). Giving Statements will be sent by USPS Postal Service or electronically via email. Should you not be able to access the request form online, a limited number of hardcopies will be available at the Information Center. Baptism Classes for Adults & Youth: Monday, March 4 - 6:30 p.m. - If you have never been baptized and desire to be baptized, please sign up at the Information Center and plan to attend our Baptism Class, Monday, March 4, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Attending the Baptism Class is required to be baptized. Baptism candidates have the choice of being baptized by means of “sprinkling” or “immersion.” Our next “Immerse” Baptism experience will be held Wednesday, March 27 at 7 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact Rev. 2019 Maundy Thursday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m. - Guest Signups: - Deadline Sunday, March 31 -Last year we tried something new and different and it was a huge success. Again, this year SEUCC will celebrate Maundy Thursday in personal homes. In an effort to encourage intimate fellowship among our congregation, Maundy Thursday will be celebrated in the personal homes of some very gracious hosts/hostesses. This is an opportunity to extend our personal circles of fellowship, and to meet and greet new people; something very dear to Pastor Courtney’s heart. In each home, Maundy Thursday worship, communion, and a simple fellowship meal will be provided and will be the same for each home. Gluten free/vegan meals will be available upon request. If you are interested in being a GUEST in a Host Home on Maundy Thursday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m., please complete the Maundy Thursday Guest Information Sheet at the Information Center. All Maundy Thursday Guest Information Sheets along with a $5 registration fee, must be submitted by Sunday, March 31. Please note, registration is closed after March 31. There will be no exceptions.
